I've never played a freshman mate, but I've heard good things about 'em. I've got a couple of old but good electric guitars left over from my heavy metal and rock n roll days, but my main guitar is a Faith Saturn called Max which I adore. She's a solid spruce and mahogony Dreadnought, kinda like a Martin D18 only for a hell of a lot less. You can look at www.faithguitars.com if you wanna know more, or you can just ask me

Wicked, a fellow metaller/ folkie! ;D
Those Faith guitars sure do look sweet. Nicer than some of those too pricey numbers.
I figure one day when i'm richer i'll upgrade my guitar. I'm still just dipping my toes in the acoustic water at the mo.
Rock 'n roll!
Hosea

Personally I'd rate my Faith over at least 1 vintage Martin I've played. Fantastic guitars
Also welcome Tom

I suppose I would have to be classed as a punk folkie then really! I used to play electric bass in 1978(ish) in a really bad punk band. Our one and only gig was in a bar in the center of Brussels called 'La Limace' (The Snail....!) We got booed off....................the cheek Still... we were paid in beer!

Hi All, Think I'm gradually clawing my head out of my ass (go smite me mods, I'm good for it ) after what feels like months of looking in, but not really contributing here. Barely a banjo plink heard for what seems like forever until I picked the old girl up again last week and more stuff made sense than usual. Still, nowhere near the standard I'd hoped to be by now. Been a bit down, let's say 'distracted' by stuff that isn't worth the hassle. Nothing a bit of positive reflection won't fix, so I'm back...still with no musical knowledge whatsoever and a stick and hoop arrangement ;D Long live the underdog! Steve

Welcome back from me too Steve, dont be down. I abandoned the banj too for a bit, but I hadnt forgotten what I had learned though, it just seems to stay there.
Just drop in anytime, for anything. Even just a general winge...
nice to see you back.
