Wee mandolin tune I recorded this morning... www.box.net/shared/lgg2ebmat8It's from a great tutor book if anyone's interested : The Scottish Mandolin Tutor by David 'Dagger' Gordon.

Haha! Thought I might find you here! Nicely done Martin, and with octave mandolin backing too eh! It's a fine tune, and your new Fylde sounds very good indeed. Changed the strings on my walnut one a couple of days ago - fiddly getting the new ones on with that tailpiece, but oworth it in the end. Sounds a bit clanky atm though, strings need a bit more playing in! Keith

Thanks, Keith! I don't like the sound of new strings all that much, and I HATE changing them, so I think these ones will stay on for a few years yet

That's beautiful, and very recognisably Celtic.
Lovely.

Thanks very much, fellas. The mandolin's a lovely wee thing, and I was so excited at managing to learn a simple tune on it I just had to post it
