Looks pretty good Chris, and it has geared tuners by the look of it (avoid friction pegs as if your life depended on it, that's my advice)
Tell her to go for it and good luck (and join UK Folkies)
How're the wife and kids?

Hi Danny - yeah it looks ok. I get your point about geared tuners. I have a cheapo uke with friction pegs and it doesn't stay in tune. The family's all well thanks, sometimes I even get more than 5 hours sleep a night Anyone got any recommended makes / models of ukes under £100?

Cheers for the suggestion fella. As you say... a little lacking in the instant gratification stakes... can't see my aunt going for one of those. And err no, don't recall a thing. I must have been very, very drunk at the time!

That's a beautiful looking uke, duggy! Gorgeous woods and looks to be very nicely finished. The Aquila strings will make a huge difference too - I had them on a uke last year and it transformed the sound. I notice it's the Leader range from Eagle - it seems to be an in-house special order type instrument that Eagle commission from the manufacturer - my Deering Goodtime banjo is branded Leader, and it's top of the range, so it seems your better half's Aunt has snagged a real cracker here. Can't wait to hear it (hint hint!) Martin
