Just thought I'd mention this guy on here. He's a regular contributor to the BHO, and I think Banjo Newsletter as well, and I was advised to get his CD and accompanying Tab book, as he is a superb banjo player. I had to go through Elderly Music in the USA, but it really was worth it. The CD and book are full of excellent versions of old time banjo tunes, expertly played, and although challenging to play, the effort is really worthwhile as the arrangements are lovely. The book and cd I got are called 'Drop Thumb', but there is another set available based on 19th Century minstrel banjo tunes, but I don't have that one. Anyway, here's a couple of terrible videos I did of me trying to play his arrangement of 'Old Mother Logo' and the Hobart Smith tune 'Last Chance'. www.youtube.com/watch?v=u26gpfB9QGYwww.youtube.com/watch?v=Y94NEIdf9F4

Thanks Pete, very kind, although the sound quality on those vids leaves a lot to be desired, unfortunately.
