Hey banjax I'd love a dulcimer too. Ever thought about building one from a stew mac kit? Take a look at www.stewmac.com/shop/Kits/Dulcimer_Kits/Dulcimer_Kit.html and see what ya rekon. We could start a 'Dulcimer Building Club' here on UK Folkies or summat.... Let us all know how the search goes mate Danny

Hi banjax I have a mate who's got a mountain dulcimer that he wants to sell, so I've told him to get on here and tell you about it. Rob

Banjax and Danny & anyone else out there who might be interested, I have a new hand made hourglass mountain dulcimer for sale. I bought it direct from a well known Luthier in the US in December but unbeknown to me, the family had already bought me one! So, this one is for sale at £250. It is a top class dulcimer with a Spruce soundboard, and Black Walnut sides and book matched back. The fretted fingerboard is overlaid with Wenge and of course it has the 6.5 fret. It has Gotoh tuning machines It is in as new condition, with a superb tone. If you are interested I can send photographs.
