Fiddle Festival Of Wales

Anybody going to attend the Fiddle Festival of Wales? held at the National Trust Stockpole Pembrokeshire at the beginning of September. Further information from
www.fiddlefestivalofwales.org.uk The event has been held for the last 7 years and this will be the last one held for sometime as the venue is due to be renovated which is expected to take 2 years to complete.

Will be visiting the event on the Saturday 3rd September just to get a feel for the event and possibly stay for the evening competitions, juniors I understand first.

The event will be attended by John Carpenter (The Violin Doctor) who will be weaving his magic on the instruments there.

That sounds interesting.Will check out the website.It's a great way to learn new tunes and techniques. I went along to the Bath Folk Festival Summer School last August and enjoyed it so much that I'm now helping with the admin for this year's event.(August 9th-17th) Details of this year's Bath Folk festival and summer school are on our website www.bathfolkfestival.org.
