Lidle had Bongos on special offer along with lots of other musical odds an sods. This old fool bought a set, and now needs HELP. I don't even know how to plug them in Seriously though any hints tips or links would be appreciated. Thanks ----- Pete

Pete - it's never foolish to buy bongos!
I'd start out by tuning them - some info here:
And some basics here:
Plus plenty more on this guy's Youtube channel. I'd start with the martillo rhythm, because it covers a few useful techniques/strokes and it sounds good. Loads of stuff on Youtube to either scare or inspire you!
Cheers,
Pete.

Thanks Pete. The hard work starts now. It is a very different playing style to the bodhran, but hopefully I'll get the hang of it. Cheers mate Pete aka ned

Hi Pete Thanks for your advice and help. However I could not get it working for me. The Bongos now have a new home with Glen Campbell. Talented musician of this parish! He will I am sure put them to better use than me. Wish him well.
