My dad has wanted to join in with my playing for ages, so I got him a bodhran for xmas, he seems quite enthused (or should that be confused) by the whole affair.
What did you lot give or receive then?

Hi Danny
I got a 3 CD set called Song of America - it's pretty good with alot of tunes from the public domain recorded by current artists that charts the history of the US and it's cultural values in the songs.
