P.S. I'm a 10's guy, I like a little bit of resistance, seems to make me work a bit harder and they sound better. To me anyway.

I have to admit here, that I really don't know what gauge of strings I have They're the ones that came with the banjo - that's all I know. I'm guessing that they might be light gauge because the guy at Frailers sent me a spare set of lights in case of string breakage in transit when he shipped my banjo, but my banjo is designed for frailing (Gold Tone BC-350) which would suggest medium. Anyway, I've been told that for old time, I don't need to change 'em till they break, so I should be ok for a while yet

The 'when to change strings' argument has raged from the beginning of time as near as I can tell. I don't see an end in sight.
