Another way to do it (Slightly different from above) is to paste the url of the photos location into your post.
Then highlight it (by clicking at the beginning of the text you just added, holding down the mouse button,and dragging to the end)
When the text is in blue, click on the insert image button. This drops the text in between the bracketed img's for you.

It appears it's an english banjo made by J E Dallas in London and if internet sources are right, the address of 415 The Strand would place it's date at 1906 at the latest. Apart from that i don't know much about the make. Neck is pretty thick and sturdy.
George Formby used to play Dallas intruments - All together now ' whem im cleaning windows'.
It was a bit less than a basic gold tone white lady
