Nice one David,
The Digital Library of Appalachia has some fantastic music recordings and photographs etc. Thanks for setting your resource site up and I'm sure it will become a well visited source of information.
Cheers,
Andrew

I like that Cathy Moore blog. A lot of stuff over my head but cracking music!
How do I access the tab? Or am I just being thick?

Can I also ask how best to access open the Tabs ,I have Tabledit but no joy trying to open carrickfergus. If anyone is willing to explain the "how to"then feel free to use "carrickfergus" as the example. ( I have been looking for it for 5 string for ages! and now only my computer ignorance stands in the way!)

I extracted the files with Winzip but can't open them - they don't appear to have a .*** after their names, so nothing on my pc will open them - am I being thick and missing something here?! I want Carrickfergus too!!!

Ah thanks Danny - I'm such a dumbskull - I forgot I already had that on my pc - just needed to update to a newer version! Thanks for the tip about adding the .tef to the filenames - it may have taken me some time to work that out actually!
Yeah, thanks for asking, I've still got the tendonitis in my thumb and wrist. Haven't played the banjo for so long I shall have to completely start over again, I reckon, and same with the guitar though I did give a few Christmas songs a go on that the other day - but it was too painful to hold the chords down so couldn't really stick at it. Doc says it will get better - just didn't say how long it will take. SIGH. :-(
