Bournemouth Banjo players

Hello,

I'm soon moving to Bournemouth and just thought I'd post a call out for any old-time banjo players who live in the area.

I got my first banjo in March and over the summer have had some lessons in frailing with a guy at the local music shop in Hinckley but since I'm moving I'm a bit disappointed that I can't carry on lessons- they've been a great help in helping me to start getting to grips with the techniques required for frailing.

Even if your not a teacher, it would be great to hear from anyone who has a passion for banjo playing in Bournemouth in the UK,

Welcome Pete - I hope you successfully manage to hook up with some banjo players after you move south - but I think they must be few and far between down here! I'm on the south coast (not Bournemouth though) and when I rang a local music shop to ask if there are any tutors, they told me there were a few banjo players they knew of but none who were willing to teach! Mean lot!!! Good luck anyway, and keep us posted.
