They do indeed (I'm gonna be starting my cigar box uke kit soon) And you've earned some karma for being the 1st to mention them here.
If their is enough demand, I'll happily add a uke section, just gimme the word.

I bought some strings for the tenor at Newcastle Music on westgate road, and commented on the lack of stock hanging up'as you do He said this year alone he'd shipped 2000+ Ukes! He had stuff from the Hawii islands too!

Oh I'd love to have a go on a real Hawain (sp?) uke. Have you seen a video of Jake Shimabakuro doing 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps' on youtube? It's REALLY good

A candidate for the 'Duke of Uke' There is another vid of him playing at a concert which is fantastic too. I will post it later I think. Andrew

I've seen a few vids of him, one of him and Tommy Emannuel together on some aussie tv show was good from what I remember.
I like the term 'Duke Of Uke' by the way

Jake Shimabakuro 's playing is amazing but there is still lots of fun to be had by us lesser mortals, there are also really good resources for Uke players online such as alligatorboogaloo, ukulele hunt,ezFolk etc. I mostly play chords but can play/pick some tunes as well now. ezFolk also have some "frailing/clawhammer " tabs of which Hi hop ladies and John Henry are great fun. It is difficult (for me at any rate) to get much volume playing Frailing style but for your own enjoyment it is worth the effort. I also find it easier to memorise both tunes and the formation of notes on ukulele than i do on 5 string Banjo. Although my playing on banjo can be reasonably fluent I still need the bit of paper with the answers in front of me for all or part of the tunes. On ukulele I quite quickly commited a number of tunes to memory and I must say that if you can do that it certainly helps improve the quality of your playing and even a bit of improvisation. At present I have a concert flea, u30 mahalo and another cheapo that was looking lonely in a Sue Ryder Charity shop window. I am going to put aquila strings on the "cheapo" to see what occurs , aquila already on the mahalo. The flea still has the black hilo strings that came with it but I will probably try aquilas on it as well eventually. I also have my daughters 1/2 size guitar which |I "butchered" to have 4 strings and play like a ukulele ,the strings are very close together but it actually sounds not too bad .I think /hope that this is the end of my UAS (ukulele aquisition syndrome) but time will tell and my next purchase will hopefully be upgrading my 5 string ,having said that these tenors, mandolins etc do look sort of inviting dont they?! cheers

I saw Mispent Uke last night in Ashintn. george welch leads and sings 4 players plus a cool lady on a short nylon? strung bass. so clever adapting trad tunes and rock and even beatles. Watching closely each player either plucked or frailed, each to theire own style Keith even bent strings to effect. They are tuned DGBE?
