I have a small violin (between half and three quarter sized) which I wish to sell. had my first lessons on this violin in 1969. My mother says that it would have been an old violin then, that they didn't buy it new. I can't see a label on the inside. A man I know who makes violins at a violin-making class showed it to his teacher who said that it is a Skylark violin. In fact, this is exactly what was reported back to me:
"The violin he said is a Chinese Skylark. They were made slightly longer than half size so it’s between half & 3/4 size. It just needs the top nut smoothing and the basic set up checked to make it playable. Otherwise nothing much wrong with it for what it is."
I would like to advertise it. I'm not sure how much to ask, where best to advertise it (ebay?), whether to ask a fixed price or a starter price in an auction. Absolutely any advice at all would be hugely appreciated.
Kind regards to all who read this.
