Trouble with my new neighbour

The lady who has moved into the flat below mine is giving my family some SERIOUS trouble

She's threatening to report us for stamping loudly (while we were asleep) my mum for thumping with wooden sticks (HOW she knows that when she couldn't SEE what mum is doing is beyond me) Mum just apparently spat at her out of the window (while laying on her bed) We've kept a letter she sent us threatening to report us to the housing associations housing officer (who also thinks she is a bitch, and told mum as much in her own sweet way) and accusing us of being racist (she's black)

She's threatened me (couldn't hear exactly what she said)

I am having a serious sense of humour failior.

I AM NOT gonna have mum live this way, I DON'T wanna break her face but I'm comming VERY close, and it's only been 2 days.

PLEASE HELP

Personally I think the best way of dealing with this 'lady' is to just ignore everything she says or does - all the while she gets a response from you she will feel satisfied that she is getting to you - ignore her and she has nothing to work on....... BTW, ever thought it might be her who is being racist?! It works both ways......... (am I allowed to say things like that?)

Danny - don't let her get to you - that is the result she wants! Give your Mum a big cuddle, but don't do anything daft - the woman is not worth getting into trouble for. What would your Mum do if you ended up in custody - you're no good to her there!

Please be careful Danny. I dont mean that in a patronising way, but its really not worth it, and it would only harm your family more to take drastic action,
The best way is to carefully and calmly document all of the incidents with times, details and if possible witness accounts too. You already have someone else on your side and it will be easy to gain more with evidence too. Armed with incidents, and times and details will impress the authorities and all she will have is rants that are exaggerated and not backed up by details. Trusting these details to memory are usually forgotten when needed.

Try to take the higher ground and take comfort from the fact that every unreasonable thing she does only adds to your case. (and makes you stronger)

Sorry for the (now deleted) foul language. My temper is like a bomb going off, it's violent as hell, but over as soon as it begins.

As a by the by, my sisters land lady is a police officer, so I sent her an email to pass on, asking for advice. Can't do any harm right?

Well today has been a DAY. 2 police community support officers, the housing officer......

It is HOPEFULLY over. I think it's gonna be a case of mutualy ignoring each other, but that suits me down to the ground. Anything for a quite life.
