Hello folks, Please forgive the shameful plugging of my stuff... here goes my second vid of me flailing, this time with pretty pics of my stuff rather than put you off your dinner having to look at me... uk.youtube.com/watch?v=pkD68-sK54k

VERY nice indeed, on both counts! You're a man of many talents! Is that your banjo with the renaissance head, btw?
As this is your second video, I was prompted to have a look at your first - but it seems to have gone! There was a message at the top of the page saying the video had been removed - shame! Now I'm disappointed....................

I am planning to make one but by the time Ive bought all of the metal bits to go on it I may as well have bought a new one!! Andrew

Beautiful looking banjo - I like the fretboard and engraving on the arm rest.... but we'll be looking forward to hearing your open back when it's done! You must have a lot of patience.............!

I haven't touched a chisel since late last year and now there's a fist-sized piece of marble staring at me from my desk...nice one Andy you've helped me get some more mojo back.

Apparently marble bruises, which is interesting (to me!). If you hit it wrongly you can cause tiny stress fractures that go into the stone and it loses its, oh what do you call it? Pearlescence? Irridescence? Bleaargh. Words.
Ran past a quarry today on a reccy run near Stroud and spotted a lot of Cotswold offcuts...tempting.

'and a rock feels no pain...' but you can bruise it.
Hmmm I'd not heard that either. Nice bit of info!
