Please join the "Transcontinental Jam Session" (up to now it´s only Transeuropean )
For Details go to my blog www.banjo-kiel.blogspot.com.
Feel free to use one or more of my files or post one of your audiofiles somewhere else.
We all are invited to add or instruments and/or our voices to build up the "Cyber Band".
There were questions about hard- and software.
I use a normal PC (no multimedia stuff),
the freeware audacity (see one of my posts on my blog about using it, Pat the loafer helped me a lot - but you need not to work on the file as Pat did, just record it)
a small microphone (I think mine a Sony but any other will do it). It´s one of those they use for recording on minidiscplayers. If I remember it right I was about 20 €.
And earphone (e.g. those for your mp3 player). You may need an extra cable for the earphones - if you don´t love playing and singing while lying on the floor, because the cable is too short ;D
Without extra cabel you should try the song "Make Me a Pallet on Your Floor"
Unfortunately it will not work with video files - unless somebody knows how to extract the audio from the video. Audacity needs audio files.
As I´m away from home this week, I won´t do any work on it before next week, but of course you can interchange your files free. As said above: You may also take my files from my blog and add something to it.
If their are more questions, just post ´em here. Somebody will know the answer.
Let´s build an at least Transeuropean Jam Session! (They US-guys will join in sooner or later, Pat the loafer is planning something).
And have fun with it! ;D
PS: Think of Patrick having fun with the idea that his pupils from all over the world make music together. Could be a reward for his good work.
