Eric Berharrel from Hornsea on the yorkshire coast makes a very attractive F type octave mandolin, they sound pretty good as well. He also makes Banjos, Hurdy Gurdies and electric fiddles with his brother Colin.

I know it's not an 'F' shape, but just because the topic's here  I bought a rather lovely Octave Mandolin from Jimmy Moon last year, and it's very nice indeed. Just wish I had more time to play it, as the banjo has taken over everything!!  |
