Think of - clunk clunk , yowl, clunk yowl, swear - and that what is sounds like ;D
Open C you just drop the low D to a C - so most of em you can work out by dropping every finger position on the 4th string by 2 frets.
Will have a lookee see at the Pete Seeger book - am trying to do 'Cumberland Mountain Bear chase'
Word up

Each measure is a self contained exercise. Repeat each measure slowly until the action is smooth.

You are very welcome Rog. Just don't rush things. Take your time. This is an important step. Take the time to get it right slowly and then speed will increase naturally with no loss of accuracy.

Hi Danny, I couldn't possibly infringe copyright and scan those chord charts in (and, well more to the point my scanners not working)!!! I did however find a pretty good banjo chord site (for standard 'G tuning'), not sure if anyones posted it before: home.satx.rr.com/bluegrassworld/BanjoChords/Chords_Complete.htmlhope this is of use to you five stringers Dug!

"We canna hold her together much longer Captain!" (explosion in background, anonymous redshirts die/Cut to Bridge) "Quick - use the 4th icon on the bottom row of tags in the post reply interface!"
