Cool. I'll bear that in mind. I've arranged a session for this Monday at the Black Bull in Blaydon near Newcastle if you fancy a drive up from York. Start 7.30. All welcome. We're in the Lounge.
PS The pick up worked a treat. Even the drummer thought it sounded good! My banjo doesn't have a tone ring so I went for maximum volume and brightest tone when I positioned the pick up (right under the centre of the bridge).
Thanks to everyone for their help and advice.
PS2 Did my first recording on the banjo today! Just a little picking behind a guitar track but I was chuffed.
