Has anyone ever heard/seen a twin neck banjo? I know in the seventies it was trendy to put two necks on guitars/basses etc.. It would be a bit of a monster...and totally pointless I suppose Oh well, just a thought.

You'd have to have the pots mounted in some kind of wooden body like the Deering electric banjo that I've forgotten the name of, only big enough to have 2 pots and 2 necks. It'd be a flippin' monster.

Really liked the sound of the first bit, but definitely not the 2nd part! - and although the guy plays well, I thought it looked very uncomfortable for him - he seemed to have to keep hauling it back onto his knee! It would be better played standing up! But I'm no expert........!
As for a twin neck banjo - personally I have enough trouble getting to grips with just the one!
Was it on here somewhere I saw a link to a vid of a guitar with about 7 necks being played, too? Or maybe I just came across it on YouTube. My memory ain't what it used ter be, I'm afraid! :-)

This could be the guitar I was talking about - it has 6 necks - but I still think I saw one with 7 somewhere, because this is not the video I remember watching...... uk.youtube.com/watch?v=XhfC9eoXM5Y

Rick Nelson (or is it Neilson?) from Cheap Trick has a 5 (might be 6) necked Hamer guitar. I've got a guitar magazine somewhere where he talks about how each is tuned (1 was a mandocello, rather cool) it ended up with 'And the bottom one ain't tuned to anything 'cos I can't reach it' I jest you not. It's all an exercise in futility really isn't it?
On a sort of related topic, I read in the June/July issue of 'Acoustic' magazine, that Jimmy Moon up in scotland build a Flying V banjo as a custom order. Only had a small photo of the body but it looked REALLY daft.

That is REALLY SILLY
If your BB is still playing up you need to REALLY kick off.
I recommend you go over to talk talk (you'll need their phone too, but it's worth it) and when whoever you're with now kicks up a fuss
a. Tell them they've breached contract by not providing the service they have been paid for
and
b. Threaten to get you lawyer involved (even if you don't have one) Also make sure you speak to management and not just the eejit who answers the phone in the call centre in india.

Danny - got to be a bit careful with BT as yet - because it is just possible it is our home wiring that is the culprit - gonna get it checked out ASAP and then if it turns out that's not what is causing the problem I have one more shot to fire off at BT and if they don't sort it out THEN I shall take your advice, don't worry! It is getting really frustrating not being able to view all the videos you lot keep posting up on here! :-(

I've had ISP's tell me similar things. 9 times out of 10 it's complete twaddle. All that means is 'we don't know what's going on' when it happened to me, I went to a different ISP and haven't had a single problem since. And my wiring hasn't been touched once.
You might also wanna try Trading Stanards.

Funnily enough I DO get the impression that BT don't really have a clue! At least, their people in India certainly don't - no offence intended, but all they can do is read off a prompt card. They can never answer any technical questions you might ask them. I have already thought about the Trading Standards people if I don't get this sorted to my satisfaction, don't worry! I've actually just emailed BT again so should get a reply tomorrow. They do at least get that bit right! They are quite good at responding to emails, I've found. Fingers crossed I shall soon be able to watch all these video links I'm missing out on!
