You cant fail to be taken in by Hectors charms I'm afraid. He is a Zwartbles rare breed dutch sheep and is now two years old and not so cute! My wife has a flock of them now, and they are eating us out of house and home...!

Super photo! Hector has an intelligent look about him, and he's a very handsome sheep! Do you have a small-holding then, Andrew - or maybe even a farm? Or just a large garden?! Apart from 4 cats, we just have 4 ducks and 3 hens in our menagerie.

We rent a field from someone we know to keep them in, and my brother in law keeps a hundred or so suffolks so we borrow his services sometimes!

damn, I've only got 1 moggy, I feel left out. I have 2 fish (aptly named Fish 1 and Fish 2), won at a Fair last October. They live in a Spongebob Aquarium and seem to be very happy (even when my 5 year old Son decides to put his hand in the water to stroke them!). I also have 1 and three quarter cats... One is named Paddy (or Padster or Padraig) and is roughly 8 year old, he is the size of a small labrador (and the shape of a space hopper!). He was a stray who kind of adopted us when he was a kitten, I think his eating disorder (only one mouth!) is due to him having abandonment issues. The other is named Topsy (or TC or Topcat) and is just over 10 years old. He got ran over when he was 3 and lost one of his hind legs (hence the three quarters!). Last year when he moved house he "ran away" only to be found some 10 months later living in an alley only half a mile from our new house. Since his return he rarely ventures outside and then only into the garden provided I leave the back door open.

They sound very sweet Mark. And you're right Andrew, as soon as you name them, they become pets and not livestock. He looks very sweet tho. (If it helps I don't even like lamb :-) )

Enjoyed reading about your lovely cats Mark - what a pair of characters! I'm glad you got Topsy back safely in the end.
That must be at least three cat lovers on here now, then!

Make that four!...Weve got a calico cat called Muffin and we just lost our persian cross pale ginger shorthair called barley. She had kidney failure but lived till she was 12. Maybe cats and banjos are connected.....

Andrew - so sorry to hear about Barley - I know only too well how it feels to lose a much loved cat, having gone through it so many times myself. I hope Muffin isn't pining for her.
Yes, maybe you are right about cats and banjos being connected - though I rather think my cats would prefer NOT to be in any way 'connected' with my banjo - as soon as I even touch it they leap up and run off! Are they trying to tell me something?!!!

That's funny Sooze. My cat Ozzy quite likes my banjo playing. Doesn't mind the harmoica playing either. I have occasionally threatened to turn her into a banjo velum when she's annoyed me tho....

Danny - your comment about Ozzy and banjo vellum cracked me up :-) though really as a cat-lover I shouldn't laugh! Maybe Siamese ears are more sensitive to noise than other cats - they are a pretty weird breed, I have to admit! Or maybe it is just my playing.........!
