December may be a bit difficult as baby number 2 will be here and making it's presence felt (hopefully not as much of a shock as number 1 was). Mind you it gives me a few months to negoitiate with the boss Rogf

I really hope to make it. I haven't played with anyone else yet, so it would be an exciting and nervewracking experience

Helen, if you'd like to play together with a guitarist, you may want to join in at "The Wreck of the Old 97" at my blog www.banjo-kiel.blogspot.com. Have fun - and see you in Sheffield.

If anyone else wants to be signed up to the UKfolkies retreat and join the google group we've got set up they should contact Dick - he's going to manage the group for the next few weeks. I'll check in when I can but I have a few other things to deal with at the moment.

I would very much like to attend. It sounds like a great opportunity to get together and pick up a few tips. And The snake pass can be very exciting in December! Please let me know re deposits etc, and if there is anything I might be able to help with. Thanks, Eny.

Hi Father Keith I havn't been getting anything from the Mailing List lately. Has something gone wrong or has their just not been any posts recently? Hi Danny. I was away on holiday for 2 weeks, but I also have quite a lot on my plate both at work and personally at the moment, so I've only been able to check in on the google group briefly. My banjo playing is suffering as well - I'm going to be back to square one if I don't do some soon! Thanks to Dick for managing the group while I was away - I was glad to see another new member when I got back. It has been a bit quiet, but maybe other people are busy with holidays and stuff as well? Good news is there's another member for the Retreat group signed up today - I'm just about to send an invite. I'll be getting in touch with Whirlow Grange soon to find out what they want to do about payment of deposits etc. Pat from the U.S. has suggested a transcontinental jam of nine pound hammer - I might add that to the list of song suggestions for the retreat.
