Stand up and be counted

Hello folks.

I did at first keep my banjo in its bag, on Patricks advice I decided to keep it handy in the living room for spontaneous playing.

My banjo has just fallen off its makeshift stand

Thats it ... I need to invest in a good, secure, stand for it.

What does everyone else use here?

The floor and a chair / wall / corner. Although we have carpeted floors so that helps it stay put.

I got a stand and totally agree with PC on this one. I'm often jus pickin up the banjo whilst waiting for my wife to get ready to go out. I get a lot more practice in that way ;D

They are not expensive - mine was £15

I use a stand, I keep it in within reach.

I do have a wall hanger, they're pretty good, especially if you have kids, dogs etc

I've got a stand which is suitable for guitar or banjo as it is adjustable. It's close to my desk and pc so that I can pick the banjo up any time and have a practice! If I buy another banjo I might get a wall hanger as I've not got a lot of floor space left in my house! My cheap old guitar is propped against the wall in another room. If it was an expensive guitar I would be more careful with it and probably buy a proper stand for it.

I bought a small stand that doesn't hold my banjo upright so that was a waste of money...damn you Ebay.

I'm using my electric guitar floor stand. fits niceley

I use both as I have several...but I prefer the wall hangers-it keeps them out of harms way at floor level and easier to just take off and play!-Andy
